Maharshi Public School, located at Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar, celebrated its Annual Sports Meet with great enthusiasm over a two-day period from December 17 to December 18, 2025. The event witnessed active participation from students and highlighted the importance of physical fitness, discipline, and team spirit.
The valedictory ceremony was graced by eminent personalities including former MLA Mr. Priyadarshi Mishra as the Chief Guest, social worker Mrs. Rozalin Mishra, local Corporator Mrs. Manasirani Sundaray, and Paralympics Gold Medalist Mr. Rakhal Kumar Sethi. Their presence added dignity and inspiration to the occasion.
The programme began with a warm welcome by the School Director Mrs. Hena Mahapatra, who received the guests and escorted them to the dais. The event was formally inaugurated with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, marking an auspicious beginning.
Reinforcing the message that health is the greatest wealth, students took the sports oath and presented synchronized physical drills accompanied by the school band. Addressing the gathering, the distinguished guests emphasized the necessity of regular exercise and sports activities for maintaining good health and holistic development.
In the concluding session, meritorious students who excelled in various sports competitions were awarded prizes, encouraging them to pursue excellence in sports. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Hena Mahapatra, who expressed sincere gratitude to the guests, parents, teachers, staff members, and students for their cooperation in making the Annual Sports Meet a grand success.
