Bhubaneswar: CS Srimanta Baboo assumed the office of Chairman of Bhubaneswar Chapter of Eastern India Regional Council of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), for the year 2026 on January 19, 2026. CS Srimanta Baboo is a Fellow Member of ICSI and presently working as the Company Secretary of Angul Sukinda Railway Limited, Bhubaneswar.
The other Office bearers of the Bhubaneswar Chapter are CS Dibyasingha Mishra, Vice Chairman, CS Nilakantha Samal, Secretary and CS Jyotirmaya Panigrahi as Treasurer. Other Managing Committee Members include CS Sasmita Panda, CS Rudra Madhab Sahoo, CS Bimal Prasad Pattanaik as Member and CS Soumya Sujit Mishra (Ex-Officio Member).
The Charge-taking ceremony was held on 18.01.2026 at the Bhubaneswar Chapter premises in the presence of various distinguished dignitaries from the profession including CS Priyadarshi Nayak and CS Soumya Sujit Mishra, both former Chairmen of EIRC-ICSI, CS Bharat Kumar Sahu, Company Secretary of NALCO, CS Jyotirmoy Mishra, CS Prabhat Nayak and CS Rajendra Kar, Former Chairmen of Bhubaneswar Chapter. The distinguished guests conveyed their good wishes to the new team and urged the new team to work relentlessly for the betterment of the profession.
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) is a statutory professional body established under the Company Secretaries Act, 1980 and is having over 78,000 members and approximately 2.5 lakh students across the country.
Similarly, in Odisha there are over 2,000 students and 260 members having its Office at VIP Colony, Bhubaneswar.
Speaking on the occasion, CS Srimanta Baboo stated that, “We are committed to empower the members and students across Odisha. Our team will work closely with the State Government, regulators, and corporates to strengthen corporate governance practices and enhance the visibility and value of the Company Secretaries profession at the grassroots level.”
