Bhubaneswar, 16th March 2026:
East Coast Railway has issued a revised regulation plan for train services in connection with the ongoing infrastructure upgradation works at Puri railway station under Khurda Road Division.
The upgradation work includes construction of ballastless track in the station yard and development of Platforms No. 7 & 8, aimed at improving passenger amenities, operational efficiency and handling capacity at the important pilgrimage station.
Earlier, some trains were planned to be short-terminated or short-originated at Sakhigopal station. However, as per the revised operational arrangement, certain trains will now be short-terminated and short-originated at Malatipatpur station instead of Sakhigopal on the notified dates earlier. The trains are :
• 12145 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Puri Express
• 12146 Puri- Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express
• 12993 Gandhidham – Puri Express
• 12994 Puri- Gandhidham Express
• 15644 Kamakhya – Puri Express
• 15643 Puri- Kamakhya Express
• 22973 Gandhidham – Puri Express
• 22974 Puri- Gandhidham Express
• 17480 Tirupati – Puri Express
• 17479 Puri- Tirupati Express
• 22201 Sealdah – Puri Duronto Express
• 22202 Puri- Sealdah Duronto Express
• 22909 Valsad – Puri Express
• 22910 Puri- Valsad Express
Below listed trains will now be short-terminated and short-originated at Malatipatpur station instead of Bir Purushottampur station.
• 20917 Indore – Puri Express
• 20918 Puri- Indore Express
• 20471 Sri Ganganagar – Puri Express
• 20472 Puri- Sri Ganganagar Express
• 15640 Kamakhya – Puri Express
• 15639 Puri- Kamakhya Express
Below listed trains will now be short-terminated and short-originated at Khurda Road station instead of Bir Purushottampur station.
• 68442 Puri – Jaleswar MEMU
• 68441 Jaleswar- Puri MEMU
During this period, bus services will be arranged between the short-terminated/originated stations and Puri for the convenience of bona fide passengers.
Passengers are advised to check the latest status of their trains through the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or official railway enquiry services before commencing their journey.
