Om International felicitates Dr. Agarwal with Dhanvantari Award on Dhanvantari Jayanti

Kolkata (30/10):Pragyan Foundation and Divine Bliss Foundation organized a meeting on the auspicious occasion of Dhanvantari Jayanti on October 29, 2024. The event celebrated the birth of Lord Dhanvantari, the revered physician of the Gods and the originator of Ayurveda. Dhanvantari Jayanti is celebrated just before Dhanteras, a significant day in the Diwali festival known for its association with prosperity, health, and wellness.

As a highlight of the ceremony, Om International Foundation presented the prestigious Dhanvantari Award to Dr. Suresh Kumar Agarwal for his remarkable contributions in Lifestyle Medicine. In his acceptance speech, Dr. Agarwal referred to Sanskrit scriptures, emphasizing that “The duty of a physician is not to seek personal gains, such as a kingdom, heaven, or rebirth, but rather to have the strength and dedication to alleviate the pain of suffering beings.” This award adds to Dr. Agarwal’s recent accolade, the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Memorial Award 2024, bestowed by the Golden Era Book of World Records, recognizing his extensive contributions in the fields of education, environment, human rights, and social awareness.

The event saw the enthusiastic participation of numerous individuals including Asish Basak, Kaustav Majumder, Dr. Umanath Das, Smarajit Dutta, Basu Deo Agarwal, Preeti Sethia, Ram Ratan Agarwal, Poonam Begum and many more.
