Bhubaneswar, June 30, 2026:
In view of the sustained passenger demand and to provide continued travel convenience, Indian Railways extended the services of the Shalimar–Charlapalli-Shalimar and Patna Junction–Khurda Road- Patna Junction, weekly special trains for further period.
The details of the extension are as follows:
Train No. 08045 Shalimar–Charlapalli Weekly Special has been extended from 03.07.2026 to 31.07.2026 and will run on every Friday during this period. Similarly Train No. 08046 Charlapalli–Shalimar Weekly Special has been extended from 04.07.2026 to 01.08.2026 and will run on every Saturday during this period.
This Special Train will consist of two Luggage-cum-Divyang Friendly Coaches, four General Second Class Coaches, twelve Sleeper class Coaches, Two AC 3-Tier Coaches and two AC 2-Tier Coaches.
Similarly, Train No. 03230, Patna Junction–Khurda Road, Weekly Special will continue to run every Thursday from 02 July 2026 to 30 July 2026 and Train No. 03229, Khurda Road–Patna Junction Weekly Special will continue to run every Friday, from 03 July 2026 to 31 July 2026.
This train will comprises of one Luggage-cum-Generator-cum-Brake Van, one Luggage-cum-Divyang Friendly Coaches, two General Second Class Coaches, four Sleeper Class Coaches, seven numbers of AC 3-Tier Coaches and seven number of AC 3-Tier Economy class Coaches, ensuring adequate accommodation for passengers travelling through this route.
